Follow these steps to cancel an investment request on Birchal:
Log in to your Birchal account.
Navigate to the 'My Portfolio' section.
Click on the 'Pending Applications' tab.
Select the name of the company for which you want to cancel the investment.
Click on the 'Actions โฎ' menu.
Choose 'Request Cancellation' from the dropdown options.
NOTE: You will only be able to request a cancellation if your status is set to 'Investment Confirmed.' If the process has continued to settlement, you will not be able to make this request.
The cooling-off period on Birchal is specifically 5 business days, during which you can cancel your investment directly through the platform without requiring company approval.
A cancellation request will be sent to the company and you will receive a cancellation request confirmation email. The company is not obliged to approve your cancellation outside the cooling-off period and may choose to legally pursue you for payment. You will receive another email when the company has approved your cancellation. Additionally, payment reminders may continue while your cancellation request is under review. You can disregard these reminders temporarily, but ensure you follow up with the company to confirm the status of your request. After the cooling-off period, cancellation requests must be submitted directly to the company. The company is not obligated to approve these requests and may choose to pursue legal action for unpaid investments.

What should I do if I accidentally invested twice?
If you accidentally made a duplicate investment, follow the steps outlined above to submit a cancellation request for the duplicate investment. Ensure you select the correct company name and investment request to avoid canceling the wrong application.
